The Treatment Pathway: From First Call to Follow-Up

Treatment at Mindful Pathways follows a structured, multi-stage pathway. Each stage is clinically necessary — none is a formality. Understanding the full arc helps you decide whether this model fits what you are looking for.

What Sets This Practice Apart

Several features distinguish this practice from other ketamine providers. These are not marketing claims — they are structural choices that shape the clinical model.

In-Home IM Sessions

Sessions take place in your home, not a clinic. This reduces the anxiety of an unfamiliar medical setting and allows the experience to unfold in a personal, comfortable environment. Dr. Rosenbach brings all necessary medical equipment.

Psychiatrist-Led, Not Technician-Led

Dr. Rosenbach is a board-certified psychiatrist who personally conducts every evaluation, preparation session, treatment session, and integration session. You are never handed off to a nurse, technician, or junior clinician.

Therapy-Integrated, Not Infusion-Only

KAP here is not a ketamine infusion with therapy bolted on. Preparation, the dosing session, and integration are a single integrated therapeutic process. The medication creates a window — the psychotherapy determines what happens in it.

Medical Screening Before Commitment

No one receives ketamine without a full psychiatric evaluation. If you are not a candidate, you will be told clearly and directed toward appropriate alternatives. Treatment is never offered to fill a schedule.

Structured Pacing

Treatment is paced intentionally. Rushing into sessions before preparation is complete, or skipping integration, undermines outcomes. This practice prioritizes clinical quality over speed.

In-Home IM Ketamine: What It Means

Most ketamine clinics administer IV infusions in a clinical setting. This practice uses intramuscular (IM) ketamine administered in your home. The differences are practical, not cosmetic:

  • IM administration produces a predictable, sustained experience without IV line maintenance. You can relax fully without being tethered to an IV pole.
  • Your home environment provides comfort and privacy that a clinic cannot. This matters — the ketamine experience is deeply influenced by set (mindset) and setting (environment).
  • Dr. Rosenbach remains present throughout the session, monitoring vital signs and providing support. You are never left alone during the experience.
  • A trusted adult companion is required to be present. This is a safety requirement, not a preference — you cannot drive or be alone after the session.
  • The in-home model is limited to the Tel Aviv–Yafo and central Israel geographic area. Patients outside this area should discuss options during the screening call.

Who This Practice Is For

Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy is not appropriate for everyone. It is typically considered when:

Standard antidepressants have not provided adequate relief (treatment-resistant depression)
You are experiencing PTSD or trauma-related conditions and have not responded to first-line treatments
You are already engaged in psychotherapy and want a treatment that integrates with it
You are willing to commit to a structured process (preparation, sessions, integration)

This practice is not appropriate for patients seeking a one-time ketamine infusion without a therapeutic framework, or those who do not wish to engage in preparation and integration work.

Common Questions About Services

Do I need a referral to schedule an evaluation?

No. You can contact the practice directly through the screening call page. However, if you have a therapist or psychiatrist, collaboration with them is welcomed and often enhances treatment.

How long does the full treatment process take?

A typical KAP sequence includes an evaluation, 1–2 preparation sessions, 6–8 treatment sessions with integration after each, and follow-up. The total duration depends on your response and is discussed during the evaluation.

Can I continue seeing my current therapist?

Yes. Collaborative care is a core part of this practice. Dr. Rosenbach provides the medical and KAP component while your therapist continues ongoing psychotherapy. See the collaborative care page for details.

What if I am not sure whether KAP is right for me?

The free screening call is designed for exactly this situation. It is a conversation, not a commitment. If the screening suggests KAP may not be appropriate, you will be told honestly.
